Daniel,

You have been such a joy.  You are so unique and I cant wait to tell you about the first few months.

In some ways you have been stubborn and challenging and in other ways you have been the cutest little guy and sunshine.

You would not let mommy and I sleep normally til you were about 7 months old.  You have the loudest cry ever and you are not afraid to use it.

Absoulutely love food.  you can never say no to milk or food.

You spit up milk and sometimes food when you eat it these early months.  Reflux

Wanted us to always hold you.  You would get mad when we put you down.

I think this is why you decided to start walking at 7 months and stand at 8.5 months.  You are always on the run.

I don't know what to do with you in the mornings.  I am afraid between the spitting up, feeding, diaper changes.  So I get you in bed and let you play around with me in your bed for 10 minutes, then we go to our bathroom and i change your diaper but I let you play on the changing table for 10 more minutes.  Then we go to the play room for 15 minutes, then breakfast, then i hold you upright for no spit up and we go and play more til you get annoyed then I take you outside.

You love to be outside.  Not so much of a home body.

You look like a doll.

You are very dense kid.  heavier than you look.

Amazingly beautiful eyes.

I call you Fatso.  "Used to call me Fatso, now you call me Castro"

I think you have a big butt

Mommy puts you to bed 85% of the time and showers you more than me.  I help out more in the morning first shift and we spend time together after work and on the weekends.  I am fortunate in that I work from home so i see you around the house during the workday and ill grab you.  my office desk faces your room and whenever the nanny takes you for a nap, she shows you to me and we make each other smile and then you go down.

you are standing here in my office at this moment pooping in your diaper

whenever we ask you something instead of saying yes you chuckle.  you just chuckled when i asked you if you did a poopie.  its a hot monday.  I have been a little frustrated with work and not being able to focus on work partially because of family responsibilities.  but you are so cute and lovable.

Right now, you grabbed a small screw driver from my desk and gave me that devilish smile to see if I would stop you or not.  You definitely have that rebel streak in you.  its amazing you have always been this way.

Honestly, you're the cutest ever.  you are watching me typing now and want to come on my lap.  Ok.

Now on my lap.  you don't want to be with the nanny.  i have work to do but its nice to have you here with me.  I work from home since we sold our AT&T stores.  we have Cricket Wireless stores and I do some house building.  We do okay, but I know we can do better.  Its hard to be a great dad and great at making money.  I hope I am planting great seeds in you and Michael to be observant of Torah to a degree, get a great profession, get great wives, love each other and your family members and friends.  Amen

Driving around in the car looking for buses, trucks and automobiles

you're in the car and it seems like you are just looking for a bus or truck and you call it out loud for the entire car ride.  its like the purpose that you have in the car is to find these things and call them out.

We take Colfax to Adat Ariel and every school in the area is on Colfax and their are tons of buses.

Michael was more into trash trucks.

You are super delicious.  I make jokes that I want to take you to Hawaii on our honeymoon.  haha.

you are very brave.  you go into pool or play around pool with no fear.  a few people have had to save you from the pool.  maybe we will do lessons starting next week.  Maria nanny thinks you are ready.

We get the Cheghelobadom from the tree in the front yard and you eat it.  you always want me to pick it.

You love kissing Mezuza, my Tefilin, strings of Sisit and saying amen after the Shema.  Pretty spiritual.  You also have a streak that doesn't listen to anyone and is stubborn.  So I am thinking about how these sometimes conflicting and other times complimentary  strengths you have should be balanced to make you what I think would be the best person you can be.

You love books.  We read 4 or so a night.  You like animals, trucks and stories too.
