I taught you to raise your hands when you need to go pee pee and poopie at school.  because you were being quiet and pee pee in your pants as you are getting potty trained.  I thought you would like to be pro active with a hand raised and say Luba pee pee poopie and get their attention because i felt like they were not being so responsive to you being potty trained.  In life, you need to be loud about what you want if people dont take care of you when you ask nicely.

you called esclators elevators.  i taught you it is called escalators and we have been going to escalatores all around town.  you were sick this past weekend so mom took michael to shabbat and you and i went to the mall, best buy, the bank friday afternoon and then we went to sleep.  the next day michael stayed with safta and isaac and mom and i got you one on us.  we went to Ikea just you and I sunday more escalators.  you asked what is this? a million times.  i take the time to answer you as if you are an older kid.  i think it is good for you that i respect you as an older person and explain things in detail to you.

Your hair is getting a little in your eyes.  very cute hair.  you are super cute kid its really amazing.
they are saying you look a little like Lana.  you have that sex appeal that she does.  haha
You look at people in the eye and then capture their attention and force them to smile or give you a reaction.  you seem like a confident person to me.  you seem comfortable in your own skin. you play toys and games you want to and dont worry about what other kids are up to.  just do your thing.  this is important to not care about what others are doing and do what you want to.
you are very stubborn but the good part of that is you know what you want and will get it.

I squeeze your thighs and touch your belly when you are on my lap.  Love kissing your face but you don't let me.

Mommy wrote this about you for you're preschool class at 2 years old

Daniel lights up our heart with his eyes and smile. His soul speaks warmth, love of connection, perseverance, and depth. He enjoys taking the extra step to learn something new by exuding his independence. He loves family and his brother Michael to pieces. He enjoys trying new foods and loves looking at the moon at night as long as he is being held so he feels safe. He loves playing "I get you" & "Hide and seek". Daniel walks around the house holding a toy guitar singing Shabbat songs and the ABCs. He  makes our family complete with his charm, laughter, and loving character. We receive so much fulfillment as we view life through his lens.

you are starting to talk.  You say Becca, Jen, Molly, Treat.  Then you go over and go to the cabinet with the treats and feed Molly.  I like it how one of your first words was aba and you would always say aba.  even on the phone the other day when i was coming back from a business meeting, mom left the phone to you and we went back and forth for hours saying aba and daniel, aba and daniel.

You dance well.  You have rhythm.  music comes on and you were riding a horse naked on the bed last night.  you michael, mom and i after bath time hang out on the bed naked or you and michael play around for a few minutes before pj's and book time.

You like 3 books, maybe 4.  then we do Shema and then mezuza.  you love the mezuza, tefilin.  always kissing them even when I don't ask you to, especially tefilin.

you will bring out a book and start reading it on your own.  you were in my office on the brown leather sofa reading.  you will walk into my office and look at me with flirty eyes and you sit on my lap for a few minutes while I work.  You are always welcome.

Daniel,

You have been such a joy.  You are so unique and I cant wait to tell you about the first few months.

In some ways you have been stubborn and challenging and in other ways you have been the cutest little guy and sunshine.

You would not let mommy and I sleep normally til you were about 7 months old.  You have the loudest cry ever and you are not afraid to use it.

Absoulutely love food.  you can never say no to milk or food.

You spit up milk and sometimes food when you eat it these early months.  Reflux

Wanted us to always hold you.  You would get mad when we put you down.

I think this is why you decided to start walking at 7 months and stand at 8.5 months.  You are always on the run.

I don't know what to do with you in the mornings.  I am afraid between the spitting up, feeding, diaper changes.  So I get you in bed and let you play around with me in your bed for 10 minutes, then we go to our bathroom and i change your diaper but I let you play on the changing table for 10 more minutes.  Then we go to the play room for 15 minutes, then breakfast, then i hold you upright for no spit up and we go and play more til you get annoyed then I take you outside.

You love to be outside.  Not so much of a home body.

You are very dense kid.  heavier than you look.

Mommy puts you to bed 85% of the time and showers you more than me.  I help out more in the morning first shift and we spend time together after work and on the weekends.  I am fortunate in that I work from home so i see you around the house during the workday and ill grab you.  my office desk faces your room and whenever the nanny takes you for a nap, she shows you to me and we make each other smile and then you go down.
